We officially launched Akwa Baby in June 2021 and by July we were at our first live event, Camp Bestival, held down in Dorset.
The experience was AMAZING! We met so many incredible families who wanted to be involved in this mini movement we’re creating, celebrating colour, openly wanting to discuss the topic of race with their children and speaking up for a generation that all deserve to feel valued.
After Camp Bestival we popped up again at The Big Feastival and sold hundreds more of our Celebrate Colour t-shirts - particularly to the dads actually, who very much wanted to be seen Celebrating Colour with pride. Our hearts are FULL, we are even more motivated to keep putting ourselves out there and encourage everyone to join the conversation.
